2๏ธโƒฃ STEP 2: Preparation Checklist

Make sure you have these 4 items ready before starting:

  1. Valid Passport: Must be valid at the time of entry.
  2. Email Address: To receive your application results.
  3. Face Photo: Digital file (JPG/PNG) for PC, or a direct photo via the app.
  4. Payment Method: Fee of KRW 10,000 (approx. $8 USD + small VAT) via Credit/Debit card.

Use the official website (www.k-eta.go.kr) or the mobile app.

  1. Terms of Agreement: Select continent/country and agree to terms.
  2. Enter Passport Info: Enter passport number and upload a copy.
  3. Personal Information: Contact details, purpose of visit, occupation, and address in Korea.
  4. Register Photo: Upload your portrait photo (or take one via app).
  5. Payment: Pay KRW 10,000 (Non-refundable even if denied).
  6. Check Result: Results are usually sent via email within 72 hours.

4๏ธโƒฃ STEP 4: Key Entry Tips for 2026

Check the updated quarantine and entry systems:

  • e-Arrival Card: Starting Jan 1, 2026, digital declaration is mandatory for all foreign visitors. (K-ETA holders are exempt from this).
  • Validity: Once approved, it is valid for 3 years. You don’t need to re-apply for multiple entries within this period. (Must re-apply if you get a new passport).
  • Update Info: If your accommodation or contact info changes, you must update it under the “Check Application Results” menu on the official site.
